With the transfer window looming, speculation is high about where up-and-coming USMNT starlet Yunus Musah may end up. The 20-year-old midfielder has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs, including West Ham United, Liverpool and Arsenal to name a few. Despite being vital to Valencia’s survival in LaLiga this season, it seems likely that he will make the move away from Spain and embark on a new chapter in his career.
Musah made his senior debut for Valencia back in 2018 when he was only 16 years old, making him one of the youngest ever players to have featured for the club. After impressing at youth level, he went on to become an integral part of their team throughout their 2019/20 season which saw them finish 9th in LaLiga. His performances caught the eye of many clubs across Europe as well as those closer to home, with Chelsea reportedly having tabled an €35 million offer for him during Valencia’s relegation battle earlier this year.
It is no secret that English football has long been seen as a desirable destination for young footballers looking to challenge themselves at the highest level possible. The Premier League attracts some of the world’s most talented players, and Musah could join that list if reports are correct and West Ham United are indeed lining up a move for him should Declan Rice make his move to Arsenal.
This particular transfer would be especially interesting due to Rice also being an USMNT international – albeit one who signals from England rather than America like Musah does. It is worth noting that Rice has established himself as one of West Ham’s key players over recent seasons and although it would be highly unlikely that both midfielders coexist at West Ham United jerseys 2023/24 , it remains unclear exactly why such talks of interchanging them have come about.
Of course this story has many twists yet still ahead of it, and there certainly isn’t any guarantee as yet that either player will end up leaving their current sides during this transfer window. Nevertheless it remains intriguing how two members of USMNT could be indirectly impacting each other’s futures; something which hasn’t been seen before on such a scale within American soccer circles..
Given Musah’s vast potential even at such a young age, one would expect top clubs from around Europe – not just those from England – competing against each other for his services over the coming weeks. At only 20 years old he still has plenty more time ahead of him and can therefore afford to make measured decisions over where his future lies without feeling rushed into anything whatsoever. He should definitely take advantage of any opportunities afforded him by these big clubs because ultimately they can help shape his career positively going forward if managed correctly – but only time will tell us where he ends up playing next season!
